THE MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 1:15 P.M.

A special thanks to the executive members for doing an excellent job during the season.

Sheila Harrison for filling in as drawmaster

Art Mousley for Treasurer

Joe Gubbels for Secretarial work

Don Critchley for Past President.

Thanks also to all curlers for showing good sportsmanship on and off the ice.

Minutes:

Secretary Joe read the minutes of the General meeting held on March 31, 2005

Motion by Vic Rinaldi

Seconded by Clayton McAlpine

That the minutes be approved as read.

Carried.

There was no correspondence to report.

Financial Report:

Treasurer Art presented report on the financial operation for the season.

He noted that to date, records show that we had a profitable year.

Revenue was up due to more participation for the Tuesday and Thursday draws.

Many days, a full compliment of teams for both 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. draws.

We lost 3 days due to ice problems.

Received a rebate from the McIntyre in the amount of $ 300.00

A complete financial report will be available later this month.

Motion by Marcel Heroux

Seconded by John Perrier

That the financial report be approved as presented.

Carried.

Fee Stucture 2006-2007

The rental fee to be paid to the McIntyre Curling Club will increase by 2 % for next season.

This translates to approximately $ 210.00

The fee structure paid by the curlers for 2006-2007 season will remain as is:

$ 15.00 registration fee

$ 3.00 per game curled.

Draw Structures:

There does not appear to be a problem for the 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. draws.

Curlers were reminded that they must contact the drawmaster if the wish to remain (or be rated to a lower position) Curlers will then be "starred" on the rating list.

For the Wednesday morning league, we have only had six teams during the past number of years, even though the ice is available for recreational curling.

Discussions:

Some people feel that curling three days in a row is too much.

Motion by Anne MacDonald

That the Wednesday morning league be divided into two sections. One before Christmas and one after Christmas.

Seconded by Clayton McAlpine.

Carried.

The executive will investigate this item and develop a system for next season.

New Member pins:

Joe Gubbels presented  all new members with the club pins.

Dusty Baker Bonspiel:

Suggestion that the bonspiel be changed to two days. This was not approved. Appears that everyone likes it the way it has been run in the past.

Suggestion that the prizes be changed from hams to cash. In the event that husband and wife curl in the bonspiel, they end up with two hams. A show of hands indicated that we continue with the present prize selection.

For the bonspiel, only participants are invited to the banquet. Anyone else wish to come to the banquet must pay for the cost of the meal.

Club Playdowns:

Some confusion regarding the use of spares.

This item was voted on last year and the rules were applied for this years.

In the event that a spare is used, this curler MUST play Lead position.

The same rules apply for the Dusty Baker Bonspiel
