Executive Meeting - December 5, 2006

welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Minutes:
Secretary Joe read
the minutes of the Executive meeting held on September 26, 2006.

Business arising from
the minutes:
There was no
business arising from the minutes.
Financial Report:
Treasurer Art presented
the report on the financial status as of December 5, 2006, with comparison to December
5, 2005
Revenue to date increased
due to better attendance at all draws and financial success at the \Dusty Baker
Bonspiel.
Expenditures to date
is approximately the same as last season.

Merv Cauthers Day:
This event is
scheduled for Thursday, December 28, 2006.
Louis Fortin is in
charge.
Curlers may sign as
teams or individuals.
Teams may not exceed
the 10 point maximum.
Lunch will be served
and a trophy will be presented.
In the event that
the bonspiel realizes a loss, the League will reimburse any minor shortfalls.
Events:
Christmas Banquet
will be December 21, 2006
A list has been
posted and curlers are recommended to sign up in order to get a count regarding
the number of meals required.

Club Playdowns will
be April 3-4-5 and April 10-11-12, 2007
Closing Banquet and
General meeting will be April 12, 2007
Dusty Baker Bonspiel:
Some problems with
spares were encountered and dealt with by the Drawmaster.
Suggestion that
penalty (s) be invoked if existing rules are broken.
Bob and Joe will
formulate some suggestions to be brought to the general meeting.
Many
thanks to Connie for all her work with the Banquet as well as the prizes.
Seniority List:
Some changes have
been requested and will be made to the list.
Northern Ontario
Curling Association:
President Ray explained the issue of the NOCA imposing a $12.00 - $ 15.00
fee for each curler that curls at the curling club. This will include all
curlers of a "rental league"
Many items were discussed.
President Ray circulated a letter which he will be forwarding to the
President of the Association.
All concurred that this issue will have to be discussed in greater
detail.
Other
Items:
Sheila and Rhea agreed to suggest some items for presentation to someone at the Christmas Banquet.
