Financial
Report
Art advised that our current bank balance is
$5,286.43 to date, $640 less than at the same time last year. We have paid out $700 for Association fees,
and our ice rental is $1,916.50/month.
Ice rental increase for the coming year should be approximately 3%, the
same as the increase for city taxes.
It was suggested that the registration fee for 2009/10
be increased to $25; this item will be placed on the agenda for the general
meeting in April.

Roy Carroll
Bonspiel
The Roy Carroll bonspiel will be held on March 10
and 11, 2009 in
5.
Joe Gubbels
Funspiel
The Joe Gubbels Funspiel will be held March 31,
April 1 and 2, and April 7, 8 and 9, 2009.
There will be a participation fee of $20 for the six days. Rules for the event are the same as the Dusty
Baker Bonspiel, and are posted on the bulletin board. The rules will be included as part of the
game schedule to be passed out on the first day of the Funspiel.

Executive
Responsibilities for Joe Gubbels Funspiel
All executive members are expected to assist in the
smooth running of this event wherever and whenever the need may arise.
The draw will be made up at the McIntyre Curling
Club. Prizes will be given out in cash,
and remain as in previous years: $50 for
first, $40 for second, $30 for third and $25 for fourth place.
It was recommended that when Bud Kline, sponsor for
Parmalat, retires that we award the Joe Gubbels trophy for the first place
team.
Sheila advised that D’Eatery has increased the meal
price from $10 to $13 due to increased costs.
Connie and Sheila will request a quote from Bentley’s and Siva’s in an
attempt to get a better price. If the
meal price continues to increase, we may have to increase the participation fee
for the event to $25.
